This was super easy to make, really quick. Smelt Amazing as I was cooking! Tastes really good too, perfect chewy texture of the rice cake. Definitely buying again!

That’s some good tteokbokki!

What colorful presentation! It looks so vibrant and fun! On to the much more important stuff: the tteokbokki itself. First, this was very easy to make. The instructions are on the bag: put the rice cakes and seasoning in a pan with 3/4 cup of water and bring it to a boil, then reduce the sauce on medium heat to liking. It came out a nice vibrant color like the bag, and the sauce reduced well. It tasted good, but to really bring it another notch, I added some cheese, chives, and extra gochujang sauce. This really thickened the sauce further. The texture of the rice cakes were good: chewy but not too chewy, just right. It has a great aroma, and it tasted so good. It’s spicy, but not too spicy, just pleasantly so. The cheese made it creamy, too. It’s very versatile, you can really make this your own or eat as is. Value wise it’s pricey, but for the quality, I would definitely eat this again.

Very flavorful but unfortunately not so healthy

These Korean Bros Seoul Soba Noodles are absolutely delicious. I like seaweed snacks, especially flavored ones, so I really like that the flavor of the seaweed flakes comes through here. The sauce and perilla oil add some nice flavor which is savory and a little sweet. The buckwheat noodles have a great texture and were very easy to prepare with a short cook time. However, the nutrition facts are a bit shocking. The sodium is extremely high at 2,130 mg for one serving of about 1 1/4 cup prepared. I limited myself to half of a serving in one sitting as a side dish, but they aren't that filling so I could have easily eaten the whole batch, which is almost a day's worth of sodium in itself, and still been hungry. I was also surprised that they have 14 grams of total fat and 8 grams of sugar which is more than I'd like. I do like that they are gluten-free and high in fiber at 7 grams per serving, but that doesn't quite redeem them healthwise.I don't think I will get these again, or if I do, I will at least not eat them regularly. They do taste great though, and if you are not watching sodium or sugar or fat, or if you have the restraint to eat half or less, then the sodium is not quite as bad.

Hi there, thank you for sharing your detailed feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the flavor of the noodles, but we appreciate your concerns about the sodium and fat content. It's helpful for us to hear how these aspects impact your experience. If you have any other questions or need suggestions for healthier options, feel free to reach out. Thanks again for your review!

Not my personal taste

I’ll be honest, I’ve never had “Seoul soba noodles” before, and I’ve never even heard of parilla oil. Judging by some of the other reviews, they must be pretty good, but man, these flavors just aren’t for me. The smell is pretty pungent, with an almost fish sauce-like smell, despite not having any fish in it. I also don’t like fish sauce, so I’m sure the at probably doesn’t help…As for the things I can give a fair assessment on, it’s super easy to make, the ingredients come in individual pouches that you just rip open and dump in. If you can boil water, you can make these noodles. The texture is fine, the noodles are maybe a tiny bit mushy, I’d cook them a little shorter time than recommended. The seaweed/sesame pouch gives it a little bit of crunch, which is nice.I didn’t want to dock any more stars, just because i just don’t think it fits my personal taste, which is a me problem, not the products problem. If you know you like Soba noodles, give them a try!

Hi there! Thanks for sharing your detailed feedback. We appreciate your honesty and are glad you found the preparation easy. Sorry to hear the flavor wasn't to your taste. everyone's preferences are different, and we understand. If you ever want to try a different flavor, we have other options that might suit you better. Thanks again for giving it a shot!

The noodles are so so good!

I am a huge Korean food fan and the noodles didn’t disappoint. I can believe they are in a packet. My sister told me about them and the noodle texture was perfect! The broth was delicious - I finished every drop. It did say spicy but it was barely spicy - my kids could eat the noodles and broth and they tend to be really picky but they liked it a lot. Maybe a little bit of a kick in the heat department? It also cooked so so fast - a huge win. I’m glad I ordered a 6 pack - I won’t have to wait to have it again.

Bold, chewy, and genuinely Korean!

I've tried various soba noodles on Amazon (and also other Asian grocery platforms), and most of them are either bland Japanese-style or overly processed. Korean Bros Seoul Soba is the perfect authentic Korean noodle that's quick, flavorful, and satisfying. The noodles have that perfect chewy bite — not mushy, not too firm. The sauce with perilla oil is savory and bold without being overpowering. What really sets it apart is the seaweed flakes. They add a wonderful crunch that elevates the whole dish.Boil, drain, mix in the sauce — done in under 5 minutes. I was skeptical that something this quick could taste this authentic, but it delivers. No complicated steps, no extra ingredients needed (though I sometimes toss in a sliced cucumber and a boiled egg to make it feel more complete). What I Love:* Authentic Korean-style flavor, not a watered-down imitation* Crispy seaweed flakes with sesame seeds add great texture contrast* 3 servings per pack — perfect portion for the price* Simple enough that anyone can prepare it in 5 minutesPro tip: Rinse the noodles in cold water after draining for that classic cold soba texture. It makes a real difference. Also, add some sliced cucumber and a boiled egg for protein!

Korean bros Seoul Soba is the best

I’ve tried perilla oil makguksu in Korea before, so I had a reference point—and honestly, this product completely surprised me. It was truly restaurant-quality. For the price, the value is amazing, especially considering how generous the contents were. I was impressed that there were three portions included, which made it perfect to share. My wife and daughter absolutely loved it. The noodle texture was excellent from the first bite—nice and chewy—and the aroma of the perilla oil was rich and authentic, not overpowering at all. The added roasted seaweed flakes were a really unique touch and worked surprisingly well with the noodles. One tip I’d recommend: when you rinse the noodles in cold water, add some ice. It makes the noodle texture even better—extra chewy and bouncy.I will definitely repurchase this. Honestly, every Korean Bro product I’ve tried so far has been delicious, and this one might be my favorite.

Must try this product !!

I’m Korean, and honestly, this is the best tteokbokki I’ve ever had. I’ve tried so many different tteokbokki places, both in Korea and abroad, but this one really surprised me.What stood out the most was the rice cakes — they were incredibly chewy, soft, and fresh. The texture was so good that it honestly shocked me. You can immediately tell the quality is different.I added fish cake and green onions, and that combination made it even better. The flavor reminded me so much of the tteokbokki you buy at traditional street markets in Korea. It wasn’t just spicy or sweet — it had that deep, familiar taste that feels nostalgic if you grew up eating Korean street food.I’ve already bought it multiple times, and I keep wanting to eat it again. Now I’m really curious to try the other menu items as well. I’ve recommended this to so many of my friends, and everyone I told is interested in trying it.I used to see this all the time on TikTok and thought it looked interesting, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. After actually trying it myself, I can honestly say I absolutely love it. This is the kind of tteokbokki I would confidently recommend to anyone, especially if they want a real Korean street food experience.

YOU MUST TRY THIS

This Tteokbokki did not disappoint at all! The sause came in powder form, which made it much easier and simpler to cook. The level of spiciness was just perfect and not overly sweet like other Tteokbokki products. Even the rice cakes themselves tasted amazing as well. I would definitely try this again, and I’m excited to try other flavors/dishes too!

Tasty and Convenient but Watch the Spice Level

I picked this up mainly because I was craving that Korean street food vibe without having to leave the house, and it actually delivered pretty well. The rice cakes have that chewy texture you expect, and the sauce is flavorful with a nice balance of sweet and spicy. It definitely hits that comfort food spot, especially when you want something warm and filling.Preparation is also pretty easy, which I appreciate on busy days. It does not take much effort to put together, so it works well as a quick meal or even a late night snack when you are feeling a little adventurous. The portion size is decent too, especially since each pack can be split into two servings, although let’s be honest, sometimes it is hard not to finish the whole thing in one sitting. Now here is where I had to pause a little. The spice level can sneak up on you. At first, it feels manageable, and then suddenly you are questioning your life choices while reaching for water. It is not unbearable, but if you are sensitive to spice, it might be more intense than expected. My tolerance is okay, but there were definitely moments where I had to slow down and take a break.

Hi Jeanne! Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Happy to hear that you enjoyed the chewy rice cakes and flavorful sauce. We appreciate the tip about the spice level too, it's great to know that some might need to watch out for the heat. Thanks for choosing Korean Bros, and we hope to serve you again soon!

Great taste but sodium is 100% of Daily Value

After making this, I was fine about not being able to have a single grain of salt for the rest of the day. It smelled so good, I didn't care. The directions for making this are perfectly clear. It is important only to use the amount of water to start it because the noodles are cooked with the base and kimchi block. Boil for two minutes, stirring occasionally. Then you are supposed to put it in a bowl, and that is a good idea, but it smells so good, it's worth just tasting. Most of us just had a taste but the teenagers in the house called it fabulous. We have tried a number of these products from Korean Bros. They all have spectacular flavors, but this one has a more recognizable noodle.
